INSTALLATION ART

MILLER’S GROVE PUBLIC ACCESS (Video Art Installation, 2019 at Turnip Green Creative Reuse in Nashville, TN)

This on-going video art project is focused on mental health awareness and is presented as live broadcasts with shows created by various artists as well as commercials, public service announcements, and bumpers. To learn more about the project and to view past broadcasts, visit: teleuphoria.org/mgpa.

To immerse the audience in the experience of watching television at home, the gallery was painted and decorated to resemble a living room. Exhibition literature was presented as MGPA’s TV guide and VHS copies of the broadcast (created to look like home recordings) were for sale on one of the shelves. The installation consisted of fabricated props, found objects, white wicker furniture, and a television playing original video content.
